CUTTING THROUGH.” The runners were so polite that some
actually stopped in their tracks to let me run by.

I was the fastest runner in my weight class – 300-350 lbs. Not
bad for running the course bear footed! I also discovered why
all these runners are willing to run 10 miles with such vigor to
the finish line – protein power snacks! My personal best (PB)

In Vail, what police initially thought was a burglary from the
evidence of a ransacked apartment, turned out to be something
very different once the owner’s surveillance video was viewed.
The film revealed a local black bear scouring the room for food.
What was unusual was the video also captured the furry in-
truder taking a few minutes to pound out several unidentifiable
chords on the family piano - Bearthoven’s 5th I think. After the
performance ended, he exited stage right through an open patio
        door. What, no bear bow?
Bear Fact: We black bears are generally not musically inclined,
however when given the opportunity.... we are always willing
to try new things. Hope you can say the same.
Until next time; be happy, be safe, and always be bear wise. Fourth of July in Larkspur: Join the parade in Perry
